[drabble] ► a world within a gift

Author's Note: All of these drabbles are set within the confines of the Katabasis universe and are written in order to flesh it out more.
Hayato kept fidgeting nervously –- and just when Judai wanted to walk off, irritated by the other boy's dawdling, he was presented with a roll of paper, held in sweaty hands.
“I made this for you.... It's the place you told us about in the dark.”
Judai was curious –- and he nearly dropped the drawing upon unfurling it, with an endless sea and a white castle in front of his eyes, the faded remnants of a long-dead world. And then he was completely speechless for the very first time, looking almost dumbstruck at Hayato's shy yet brilliant smile.
