[drabble] ► one of many stains
Disclaimer: All characters and settings portrayed in this work of fiction belong to Kazuki Takahashi and Nihon Ad Systems. I'm merely fooling around with their creations and will put them back with as little wear and tear as possible.
Collection Title: .fragments of a bent horizon
Drabble Title: .one of many stains
Character(s): Yuki Judai
Rating: T (PG-13). Rating may go up in later drabbles.
Prompt: 1sentence prompt .09 –- red. Gamma prompt table.
Author's Note: All of these drabbles are set within the confines of the Katabasis universe and are written in order to flesh it out more.
The first time Judai had seen blood, it had spattered walls in a disaster of his own unconscious making.
The second time it had stained him from head to foot and he had nearly fainted from shock.
The third time it had been the pained sacrifice that had finally awakened him.
And then many times after that, it had simply been a fact of life – 'press the blade here, Haou-sama, it will make him talk faster'. One more of many stains on his hands.
The vivid red of his jacket had thus brought him only a cold, bitter sort of amusement.
